Scott Pannier, Director of Publisher Development

Scott brings over 12 years of business development and sales experience to the 47 Media team.  Scott has been leading client projects for 47 Media since May 2009, on a wide variety of clients including those in contextual advertising, mobile, video and data management.  47 Media clients are VC-backed and the best of the breed. Scott is able to present an offering with a high level of detail to appropriate contacts at both small and large media companies.  Prior to 47 Media, Scott held positions as Director of Media at Motive Interactive, business development and ad network development at Nextag and ValueClick, and Senior Affiliate Manager at Exponential.  Scott has formerly consulted with companies including SocialMedia.com, PMA Media Group, Tallac Media, and Healthcare.com.  His strength is in consultative selling to Comscore Top 500 sites and understanding all the moving pieces that make up today’s complex online media ecosystem.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Theory from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

 

Matthew Rochios, Director of Publisher Development

Matthew Rochios comes to 47 Media with more than a dozen years of advertising sales experience. He spent the last 13 years working for various Internet companies, where he held positions ranging from Account Executive to Sales Director. His vast knowledge of the Internet business landscape comes from working for ad networks, performance marketing companies, social media ventures, portals and content sites. Prior to joining 47 Media, he worked with HotChalk Media Group where he focused on building west coast sales. Before that, he spent time with Tremor Media and MySpace in similar roles. During the earlier part of the last decade, he spent 5 years with InfoSpace serving as a sales manager where he always “carried a bag”. He also has experience building sales teams and running remote offices from his time with Contextual Marketing/WhenU. Matt has a degree in Political Science from UC San Diego and a MA in Sports Management from USF. He has a wife and a 7 yr old daughter. He is currently obsessed with reading U.S. history books and some would say he is a budding gourmet chef.

 

Robin Skyrzypek, Director of Publisher Development

Robin Skrzypek brings over 11+ years of sales, marketing and business development experience to the 47 Media team.  Robin has been with 47media for a little over a year and his performance has consistently exceeded client’s expectations.  His professionalism, ability to ramp up quickly, learn his clients products/processes, creativeness and the ability to hit the ground running have been the type of feedback that we receive from his work. Prior to 47 Media, Robin served as Sr. Business Development Manager at InsWeb Corporation, a publicly traded company that reached profitability during his tenure. While at InsWeb, Robin led strategic partnerships and aided in all frontline online media buying efforts to drive millions of consumers to seek quotes for insurance nationwide. At Princeton Solutions Group, in Sacramento, he served as Director of Business Development, where he led recruitment and maintenance of a staff of 40+ full-time and contract consultants to build mission critical applications for state and private organizations. Sales highlights include landing strategic accounts with CalPers, Department of Justice (DOJ) and STRS of California. With his background in many industry verticals, his passion today lies within the online media arena and helping organizations with their growth objectives. In his private time, he enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.

 

Christian Baer, Publisher Development

Christian Baer has over seven years experience in the online advertising industry as a sales rep and publisher development selling various advertising models. He began his career working with several start-ups from cost-per-click search engines, CPL/CPA consumer loyalty rewards sites, email direct marketing, performance-based online lead generation as well as display advertising.

Having had the opportunity to see the industry evolve over the years has allowed Christian to establish key business development relationships which have provided numerous successful results for the companies and clients he works with.

 

Colette Gumm, Publisher Development

Prior to joining 47 Media, Colette worked in Business Development, recruiting & managing publisher relationships at contextual ad network Vibrant Media. While at Vibrant, Colette managed top-tier publishers, and high-revenue accounts MSNBC and Demand Media. Colette is a client-focused executor of strategy and possesses exceptional relationship management skills. Before Vibrant Media, Colette worked in interactive ad sales at CNET Networks. She graduated from the Leavey School of Business with a B.S. in Marketing from Santa Clara University.

Aaron Seligman, Publisher Development

Aaron Seligman comes to 47 Media with an extensive background in Business Development. He has worked for a number of clients while with 47 Media. During which time his responsibilities have included prospecting, outreach, negotiation, closing, and assuring the ongoing satisfaction of publishers. He relishes the opportunity to anticipate and respond to all of his clients needs and is determined to satisfy them.  In the past he has worked for both Vibrant Media and Kontera. While with these companies Aaron focused on building publisher networks through solid client relationships with networks like Gorilla Nation and Buzz Media. He also has a solid technical background in online advertising as he began his career as a Keyword Optimizer. Outside of advertising, Aaron spent some time with Real Networks, where he worked to increase Real’s catalogue of games as well as maintain relationships with top gaming publishers like Activision and Ubisoft. Aaron graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, with a focus on interpersonal and group relations.

Management

Sarah Nels, Managing Director
Sarah Nels serves as 47 Media’s Managing Director and is responsible for operational and client service responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. Previously Sarah served as a fundraising and business development professional who  generated over a million dollars in capital for small and medium sized organizations across multiple sectors. Sarah’s ability to cultivate and manage relationships and complex projects has contributed to her successfully producing hundreds of fundraising and promotional events. She has in-depth knowledge and experience with implementing business operational best practices in start-up environments, resulting in a measureable increase in efficiencies and productivity. Sarah graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University.

Stacy Nunnelee, Co-Founder & Publisher Development Lead
Stacy Swanson, gained valuable relationship management skills in the online media space, serving as an Account Director at 180Solutions and Zango Media, where she led advertiser account services and operations. Stacy has a strong reputation for client care, and relationship development. She consistently develops strategies to discover the web’s most influential new bloggers and publishers and build trust over time to leverage their strengths for brands. With her brother Scott, Stacy co-founded 47 Media to serve the needs of the emerging new media market. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound.

Advisors

Azar Hafizi, Advisor
Azar brings over 10 years of interactive media experience, delivering and selling online advertising solutions to both web publishers and advertisers. Prior to 47 Media, Azar served as Associate Director of Network Strategy at Glam Media where she was responsible for building the Glam Fashion & Beauty verticals and was a key contributor in reaching Glam Media’s goal to become a top 20 web property in Comscore Media Metrix. Azar holds deep knowledge of the online publisher landscape which she complements with a strong business acumen and a refined sales approach. Azar’s specialties are in business development, media planning and strategic accounts. Azar previously worked as an interactive media buyer at advertising agency, Exile on 7th and holds a degree in Electronic Communications from San Francisco State University.

Damon Mercandante, Advisor

Damon has 15 years of consumer internet and ad network experience utilizing business development and corporate strategy. Most recently, he led business operations and game partnerships at Hooked Media Group, a distributed game player ad network, monetized via video and display ads on the web and the Facebook platform. Prior to Hooked, Damon spent 5 years in strategic partnerships at eBay and ran business strategy and ad operations at LookSmart and Individual, Inc. Damon has an MBA from the Wharton Business School, and an undergraduate degree from Yale.
